Reiki

Reiki is a gentle yet powerful complementary therapy that is often used along side orthodox health care. It can be used to help all medical conditions and can be received safely by all age groups from new born to elderly.

Although Reiki sessions are usually given with the client relaxing on a therapy couch, sessions for children are always given on the child’s terms and are more likely to be given while relaxing on a bean bag, sharing a story or listening to music. It will help even the most active child feel more calm and relaxed, will help relieve stress and aid sleep.

For children with challenging or hyperactive behaviour, Reiki sessions can provide a calming introduction to more formal therapeutic interventions.

Individual therapy sessions can be carried out at our centre or any hospital/ hospice for any age group, adult or child, provided permission is granted from the organization in question.

Why not book a session for yourself?

Caring for children with any sort of special need can be very rewarding; it can also be very stressful and there will be times when even the most dedicated parent will need extra support and time out to recharge their own energies or have a bit of pampering for themselves. Why not book a session for yourself.

N.B.
For children under the age of 16 parents will be asked to sign a consent form giving permission for the child to receive Reiki and / or Equine facilitated therapy.
